Distillery Tasting Notes

Made by Backbone Bourbon Company

Notes of caramel, oak, and dark cherry hit the nose. The palate starts off with sweet vanilla flavors quickly moving to a bold spice and finishes with a smooth, almost maple sweetness. Think southern kitchen: cornbread, sorghum, and brown sugar. Then it blossoms into a more traditional spice-forward American whiskey, with caramel, vanilla, baking spices, black pepper, habañero, and jalapeño honey. Toward the end, subtle herbs appear just before a long and spicy finish.
