Foreshots are the initial fractions of the distillate obtained during the distillation process of alcoholic beverages. It contains significant amounts of methanol, which is not fit for human consumption.
On the other hand, 'feints' is a term that describes the third fraction of a distillate that is obtained during the second phase of the distillation process in a pot still. Distillers usually take Feints back to the pot still process for further distillation.
