Smoke Wagon Bottled in Bond Rye is a whiskey distilled by MGP in Indiana but aged and bottled by the Nevada H&C Distilling Company of Las Vegas. This rye whiskey has a mash bill of 51% rye and 49% malted barley, which usually has a bold and spicy finish and displays notes of caramel, vanilla, and fruity corn. Let's see in this review how Smoke Wagon BiB holds up.

Nose
On the nose, there are no overwhelming notes on Smoke Wagon Rye Bottled in Bond. When I opened the bottle, I was not hit with thick aromas. The nose is very tame, so, unfortunately, there was little to generate excitement. The nose has mild rye spice notes and a very thin-smelling caramel. If you let the glass sit for minute soft lemon notes come to the fore along with a more dense caramel.
Palate
On the palate, there are sweet and spicy white pepper notes. Again, this is a thin-tasting experience. A grassy pine taste is there throughout the tasting. Rye spice and caramel.
Finish
The finish of Smoke Wagon Rye Bottled in Bond is moderate with sweet rye spice and a little leathery tobacco.
